What a great start to Level 3 Blacksmithing for Homeschoolers! All 4 from last year are back, and in Level 3, they get to pick their own projects. I dont think there was a section of the forge that wasnt used this morning! Landon continued working on his damascus that he start in May. He did the final fold and shaped the blade and handle, ready for grinding. Judah did a remarkable job on his gut hook knife! That is not an easy one! He will add the handle scales next time. Lucas is making a hachette! He got the head done and wants to carved the handle at home, before assembling it nect time. And Elijah went the opposite way, and made a sunflower! He's more interested in welding and blacksmithing projects.
It's amazing to see them put all the skills they’ve learned over the last 2 years to work! It's going to be a really fun year with them!

Charlotte and Eliseo were back today! They made great Railroad Spike Knives, and finished a couple of hooks from last time.

1st class for the 14-17 yr old homeschoolers! Fun group! They did great with their "S" hooks!

Dan was back today! He has a dagger in progress, but wanted to try something new. So he made a paper towel holder! Like many of my regulars, somehow he skipped over the basic class. he did a great job though!

Really fun group of women at the forge today! They came from Ohio and Detroit to make Railroad Spikes Knives. They did a great job! Lots of fun!
