Birthday Knifemaking! Nichole and Mark came to the forge tonight to make Railroad Spike Knives for Mark's birthday! They both made beautiful knives!

The last new Homeschool group started today! We have 4 Level 1 sessions this year! And what a great group today's was! You'd never guess this was their first time in the forge. It's going to be fun to see their skills grow.

Liam and Sawyer are brothers who just started in our Homeschool classes. They were able to put those beginning skills they just learned (taper, pig tail, and hook) right to work by making a handle for a GIANT cast iron cauldron they have. Really fun to see them using what they learned right away.

Brandon and Maghan are regulars who've made some really great knives and other projects. They wanted to keep fine tuning their skills, so they forged hooks and chopsticks tonight!

And the last group to start the 2026-27 Blacksmithing for Homeschoolers class--the new 14-17 yr old Level 2! They definitely remembered everything they learned last year in Level 1. Henry was able to finish his Billet knife, and Grant and Rowan are not far behind. They will finish the habdle next time, and then everyone will start on damascus!
